MatterX review for Australian law firms
The Microsoft-native platform for Australian law firms
Pricing and product features can change. This profile is general information, not a vendor quote or professional recommendation.
MatterX overview
MatterX is a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central-native legal practice management platform built for Australian and New Zealand law firms. It combines practice management, trust accounting, billing, and financial reporting inside the same Microsoft environment firms already use — eliminating the disconnect between PMS, DMS, email, and accounting. NSW Law Society certified and ISO 27001 & SOC 2 compliant, MatterX is trusted by firms including BM Resolve Lawyers, Aptum, Harmos Horton Lusk, Inspire Legal, and Sierra Legal.
Key capabilities
MatterX runs natively inside Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, meaning practice data is fully accessible to Microsoft Copilot without any integration layer. NSW Law Society-certified trust accounting, billing, and matter management are built-in. The Crew module provides 8 AI digital employees (Fia, Tru, Amy, Max, Lex, Dom, Rio, Sam) that take real actions inside Business Central. Power BI analytics, SharePoint DMS (coming 2026), and month-to-month pricing with no lock-in round out the platform.
